Geography of Alliance
Alliance, Ohio, a city in Stark County. It lies on the Mahoning River, about 23 miles (37 km) southeast of Akron. Alliance is an industrial city and the site of Mount Union College. Early in the 1800's three small communities occupied the site of the present city. In 1854 they merged and were incorporated as Alliance.
