Fremont, Nebraska, the seat of Dodge County. It is on the Platte River, 33 miles (53 km) northwest of Omaha. Fremont has canneries, creameries, flour mills, and meatpacking plants. Midland Lutheran College is here. Fremont was founded in 1857.
