Classic Homemade Burger Recipe: Juicy & Flavorful

 
INGREDIENTS

1 pound 95% lean ground beef 3/4 cup thinly sliced mushrooms 1/4 cup finely chopped onion 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/3 cup barbecue sauce 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted 4 lettuce leaves 4 slices fresh red tomato 4 slices onion

PREPARATION:

  1. In large bowl, combine beef, mushrooms, chopped onion, salt and pepper. Shape into 4 (1-inch-thick) patties.
  2. Place patties on grill rack directly above medium coals. Grill, uncovered, until no longer pink in center (160°F), turning and brushing often with barbecue sauce. Place patties on buns with lettuce, tomato and sliced onion.
