Geography of Mazatlan
Mazatlán, Mexico, a city in Sinaloa state, 265 miles (426 km) northwest of Guadalajara. It is Mexico's main Pacific port. It has a sugar refinery, flour mills, textile mills, cigarette factories, and breweries. Exports include shrimp, gold, and silver. Mazatlán is a winter resort noted for its pre-Lenten carnival.
