Geography of Mexicali
Mexicali, Mexico, the capital of the state of Baja California. It lies on the border, at the southern edge of the Imperial Valley of California. Mexicali is primarily a trade, transportation, and cotton-processing center. The Autonomous University of Baja California is here. Mexicali was settled about 1900.
