Brampton, Canada, a city in Ontario. It is situated along the Etobicoke River, about 20 miles (32 km) northwest of Toronto. Light manufacturing and the growing of greenhouse plants and flowers are the mainstays of the city's economy. Brampton was settled in the 1830's.
