Geography of Henderson
Henderson, Nevada, a city in Clark County. It is located about 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Las Vegas. Once a largely industrial city, Henderson experienced rapid residential development and became one of the fastest growing cities in the United States in the late 1990's.
People began settling in what is now Henderson in the early 1930's, during the construction of nearby Hoover Dam. The city was incorporated in 1959.
