Decatur, Alabama, the seat of Morgan County. It is on the Tennessee River, 85 miles (135 km) northwest of Birmingham, and is a railway center and terminal for river navigation. Hosiery, tire fabrics, flour, cottonseed oil, leather goods, brick, tile, and fertilizers are the chief products.
