Geography of Manitowoc

Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the seat of Manitowoc County. It is on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Manitowoc River, 74 miles (119 km) north of Milwaukee. Products made here include aluminum ware, office furniture, heavy machinery, and foods. Yachts are also produced. A trading post was founded here in 1795 and settlers arrived in 1836.
