Geography of Austin-Minnesota
Austin, Minnesota, the seat of Mower County. It lies on the Cedar River, in the southeastern part of the state. Austin serves as a trade and commercial center for the surrounding agricultural area. The principal industry is meat-packing. Austin was first settled in 1853 and incorporated in 1876.
