Lake Vattern
Vättern, Lake, a lake in south-central Sweden. It stretches 80 miles (130 km) from Askersund in the north to Jönköping in the south. Its greatest width is 20 miles (30 km). Lake Vättern covers 738 square miles (1,912 km2) and has a maximum depth of 420 feet (128 m). It is linked to the Baltic Sea by the Göta Canal.
