Lake Constance

Constance, Lake (German: Bodensee), a lake on the borders of Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. Its surface is about 1,300 feet (400 m) above sea level. The lake covers 208 square miles (539 km2); its greatest depth is about 825 feet (250 m). The Rhine River flows through the lake, which is the center of a resort area.
