Geography of Bournemouth
Bournemouth, England, a city and seaside resort in Dorset. It is about 110 miles (177 km) southwest of London on Poole Bay near the English Channel. Bournemouth is a popular winter resort. Mary Shelley (author of Frankenstein and wife of the poet Shelley) is buried in the yard of St. Peter's Church, one of several Gothic buildings here.
