INGREDIENTS

cups finely chopped fresh tomatoes

green bell pepper, seeded and chopped

tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro

jalapeño pepper,* seeded and minced

clove garlic, minced

teaspoon ground cumin
1/4
teaspoon sugar (optional)
*Jalapeño peppers can sting and irritate the skin, so wear rubber gloves when handling peppers and do not touch your eyes.
PREPARATION:
- Combine tomatoes, bell pepper, cilantro, jalapeño pepper, garlic and cumin in medium bowl. Cover with plastic wrap; leave at room temperature 1 hour. Pour off any watery juices that have collected. Add sugar, if desired.
