Mount Katahdin
Katahdin, Mount, a mountain in Piscataquis County, central Maine. Rising to 5,267 feet (1,605 m) above sea level, it is the highest point in the state. Its granite slopes are heavily scarred by glacial action that occurred during the last Ice Age.
