Longs Peak

Longs Peak, a mountain in Boulder County, Colorado, about 50 miles (80 km) northwest of Denver. It is the highest peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, rising to a height of 14,255 feet (4,345 m). Its summit can be reached by two trails. Longs Peak is the most frequently climbed tall mountain in the United States. It was named for Stephen Harriman Long, who discovered it in 1820.
