Baker Island
Baker Island, an uninhabited coral atoll in the central Pacific Ocean, about 1,900 miles (3,060 km) southwest of Hawaii. The area is about one square mile (2.6 km2). Baker Island was claimed by the United States in 1857 and is under United States administration.
