The Weser River

Weser River, a river in Germany. The Weser is navigable for its 280-mile (450-km) length, and is connected by canals with the Rhine, Ems, and Elbe rivers. The Weser is formed by the meeting of the Fulda and Werra rivers at Münden. It flows northwest, past Bremen, and into the North Sea at Bremerhaven. Large dams on some of the Weser's tributaries regulate its flow.
