Geography of Angarsk
Angarsk, Russia, a city in southern Siberia. It lies on the Angara River near Lake Baykal, about 2,500 miles (4,000 km) east-southeast of Moscow. Angarsk is a boom city in one of Russia's fastest-growing industrial regions. First settled in 1948, Angarsk grew rapidly and became a city in 1951.
