INGREDIENTS
2‑1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail 1 package (6 ounces) dried apples 1/2 cup (2 ounces) dried cranberries 1/2 cup Rhine wine or apple juice 1/2 cup honey 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into halves Frozen yogurt or ice cream (optional) Additional cinnamon sticks (optional)PREPARATION:
Slow Cooker Directions
- Mix juice, apples, cranberries, wine, honey and cinnamon stick halves in slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours or until liquid is absorbed and fruit is tender.
- Remove and discard cinnamon stick halves. Ladle compote into bowls. Serve warm, at room temperature or chilled with scoop of frozen yogurt or ice cream. Garnish with additional cinnamon sticks, if desired.
