Chocolate Fondue with Fresh Fruit

YIELD Makes 8 servings

INGREDIENTS

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder 1 cup heavy cream, divided 4 ounces (1/2 cup) cream cheese, cut in chunks 3 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon sucralose-based sugar substitute 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 24 green or red seedless grapes 12 small to medium strawberries, halved, or 6 large strawberries, quartered

PREPARATION:

  1. Combine cocoa and 1/2 cup cream in small saucepan or fondue pot over low heat; whisk to mix completely. When cocoa mixture is hot and thick, add remaining cream and cream cheese. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and thick. Add sucralose and vanilla; stir to mix.
  2. Keep fondue warm over very low heat. Arrange strawberries and grapes on a plate. Use wooden skewers or fondue forks for dipping.
Tip Substitute fruit in season for the grapes and strawberries.
