Classic Chocolate Chip Brownie Recipe | Easy & Delicious

INGREDIENTS

3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup butter 2 tablespoons water 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips, divided 1‑1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1‑1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 eggs Powdered sugar (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. Combine granulated sugar, butter and water in medium microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips; stir until chips are melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in vanilla; let stand 5 minutes to cool.
  3. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Add eggs to chocolate mixture, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in remaining 1 cup chocolate chips. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  4. Bake 25 minutes for fudgy brownies or 30 to 35 minutes for cakelike brownies. Remove pan to wire rack to cool completely. Cut into 2-1/4-inch squares. Place powdered sugar in fine-mesh strainer and sprinkle over brownies, if desired. Store tightly covered at room temperature or freeze up to 3 months.
