Geography of Lewiston

Lewiston, Idaho, the seat of Nez Perce County. The city is situated at the junction of the Snake and Clearwater rivers, near the Washington border. Lewiston has grain elevators, sawmills, and stockyards. Lewis-Clark State College is here. Lewiston was founded in 1861. It was the first capital of Idaho Territory, 1863-64.
