Geography of Corvallis
Corvallis, Oregon, the seat of Benton County. It is on the Willamette River, 85 miles (135 km) south of Portland. The city is the marketing center for an area that produces fruits, wheat, poultry, and nuts. Oregon State University is here. The city was chartered in 1857.
