Enid, Oklahoma, the seat of Garfield County. It is 65 miles (105 km) northwest of Oklahoma City. Enid is a distribution center for an area that produces wheat, dairy products, poultry, and crude oil. Products made here include farm equipment and processed foods. Enid was settled in 1893. Phillips University is here and Vance Air Force Base is nearby.
