Geography of La Grange
La Grange, Georgia, the seat of Troup County, about 60 miles (97 km) southwest of Atlanta. It is largely a manufacturing city, producing textiles, wood and plastic products, and other items. In the city are La Grange College and Bellevue, an 1853 mansion built in Greek Revival style. La Grange was founded about 1826 and incorporated in 1828. It has the council-manager form of government.
