Geography of Cranston
Cranston, Rhode Island, a city in Providence County, on the Pawtuxet River. It is a residential and industrial suburb of Providence, the state capital. Cranston was settled as a part of Providence in 1636 and was incorporated as a separate town in 1754 and as a city in 1910.
