Geography of Sochi
Sochi, Russia, a city on the eastern shore of the Black Sea at the base of the Caucasus Mountains. Sochi is one of Russia's most popular seaside resorts, with many hotels, sanatoriums, and recreational facilities and a nearby mineral spring. The city has some food processing and other light industry. Among Sochi's notable attractions are an art museum, a town history museum, and an arboretum, which contains more than 1,600 species of trees and shrubs from all parts of the world. Sochi was established in 1910 as a health spa.
