Manchineel
Manchineel, a poisonous tree of tropical America. The tree grows from 20 to 40 feet (6 to 12 m) high. It has thick, oval leaves; small, greenish flowers; and apple-shaped fruit about the size of a walnut. The milky sap is extremely poisonous. The close-grained, yellowish brown wood is used for furniture.
The manchineel is Hippomane mancinella of the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae.
