Blue-eyed Grass, an American wildflower of the iris family. The leaves are narrow and grasslike. The stalk is flattened and bears a small cluster of star-shaped blue flowers. The flowers have three sepals and three petals of blue, with a yellow center. Blue-eyed grass blooms from May to August. It thrives in damp places, and makes an attractive flower-garden plant. A related West Coast species has golden flowers.

Blue-eyed grass is Sisyrinchium angustifolium of the family Iridaceae.
