Easy Pecan Sable Cookies: Simple Recipe

 
INGREDIENTS

1 package (18 ounces) refrigerated sugar cookie dough 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 cups finely chopped pecans 1‑1/2 cups pecan halves

PREPARATION:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Let dough stand at room temperature about 15 minutes.
  2. Combine sugar and cinnamon in small bowl; set aside. Combine dough and chopped pecans in large bowl; beat until well blended.
  3. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; roll in cinnamon-sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on prepared cookie sheets. Press 1 pecan half into each dough ball.
  4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheets. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
