PREPARATION:
- Combine sugar, butter, lemon juice and lemon peel in heavy saucepan. Cook and stir over low heat until butter melts.
- Beat eggs in small bowl. Add lemon mixture and continue beating. Place in same heavy saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, for 15 minutes or until mixture becomes smooth and thick. Remove from heat; pour into medium bowl. Chill 1 hour.
