Hera
Hera, or Here, in Greek mythology, the goddess of marriage and childbirth. She was queen of heaven, though not of the gods. Hera was the daughter of Cronus and Rhea and the sister and wife of Zeus. She was jealous of the beauty and honors of other goddesses and was very quarrelsome. Hera persecuted Zeus's mistresses and children. She relentlessly pursued Hercules, Zeus's son by Alcmene, causing him many hardships and, eventually, madness. Hera helped the Greeks in the Trojan War because Paris of Troy had awarded the golden apple “for the fairest” to her rival Aphrodite.
Hera's Roman counterpart was Juno.
