York, Cape, an arm of land on the northern shore of Baffin Bay, Greenland. Cape York was used as a station by Admiral Peary in his polar explorations. In 1891 he studied the life of the Cape York Eskimo tribe. In 1896–97 he brought three meteorites from Cape York to the United States.
