Mount Cook
Cook, Mount, the highest peak (12,349 feet [3,764 m]) in New Zealand. It is located in Tasman National Park in the west-central part of the South Island, and is part of the Southern Alps. It is called Aorangi in the language of the Maoris, the native people of New Zealand.
