The Fitzroy River

Fitzroy River, the name of two Australian rivers. The Mackenzie and Dawson rivers join to form the Fitzroy of eastern Queensland. It flows 174 miles (280 km) east to the Pacific Ocean and is navigable to Rockhampton, 49 miles (79 km) upstream.

The Fitzroy of northern Western Australia, 325 miles (523 km) long, winds from the King Leopold Range to the Indian Ocean on the west.
