Midwest
Middle West, or Midwest, that part of the United States lying between the northern Great Plains and the Appalachians, centering mainly on the upper Mississippi basin. Included are Iowa, Illinois, and Indiana and most of Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and North and South Dakota.
