Geography of East Hartford
East Hartford, Connecticut, a town in Hartford County. It is on the Connecticut River at the mouth of the Hockanum, opposite Hartford. East Hartford is a residential and industrial town. The principal industry is the manufacturing of jet aircraft engines. Tobacco is grown and processed in the area. East Hartford was settled in the 1640's and incorporated in 1783. It has the mayor-council form of government.
