Lachine, Canada, a borough of Montreal and former city in Quebec Province. Lachine is on Montreal Island in the St. Lawrence River. Lachine's factories produce iron, steel, cranes, electrical apparatus, and machinery. The borough has shipyards and is a summer resort.

Lachine was established in 1669 by the explorer Sieur de La Salle as a seigneury (a lord's estate). It was incorporated as a city in 1909. In 2002, Lachine became a part of the city of Montreal.
