Camaguey

Camagüey, Cuba, the capital of the province of Camagüey. It is in the east-central part of the island, 300 miles (480 km) southeast of Havana. The city is a distribution point for sugarcane, cattle, coffee, cacao, tobacco, and fruits. Camagüey was founded in 1514 as Puerto Principe.
