The Aldan River
Aldan River, a river in Russia, 1,390 miles (2,237 km) long. From its source in the Stanovoi Range some 200 miles (320 km) north of Russia's border with China, it flows in a broad curve northward through eastern Siberia. North of Yakutsk, the Aldan empties into the Lena River, which continues to the Laptev Sea, an arm of the Arctic Ocean.
