Geography of Datong
Datong, also Tatung or Ta-t'ung, China, a city in the northern part of Shanxi Province. It is the center of a large coal-mining area and produces coke, locomotives, and mining machinery. Datong is on the main railway line to Mongolia and is an important trading center.
