Geography of Shijiazhuang

Shijiazhuang, also Shihchiachuang and Shih-chia-chuang, China, the capital of Hebei province, about 160 miles (260 km) southwest of Beijing. Shijiazhuang is a railway junction and manufacturing center. The city was a small agricultural village until early in the 20th century, when it became the junction point of two newly constructed railways.
