Geography of Qiqihar

Qiqihar, or, both chē′chē-här (also Tsitsihar), China, a city in Heilongjiang province, Manchuria. It lies on the Nen Jiang plain, east of the Da Hinggan Ling (Great Khingan Range). Qiqihar is an industrial city. Products include machinery, textiles, and pharmaceuticals. The city is also a trading and processing center for the surrounding agricultural area. Qiqihar was founded by the Manchus in 1691.
