PREPARATION:
- Combine butter and chocolate chips and butter in large microwavable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 30 seconds; stir. Repeat as necessary until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred. Let cool slightly. Add sugar, egg and vanilla to chocolate mixture; stir until well blended. Add flour; stir until well blended. Cover; refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm.
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Shape dough by tablespoonfuls into balls; place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. If desired, flatten balls with bottom of drinking glass.
- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Remove to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate as desired with melted chocolate, almonds, frosting, coconut or colored sprinkles.
