Easy Ground Beef Tacos: A Simple Recipe

 
INGREDIENTS

4 ounces ground beef sirloin 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 clove garlic, minced 1/3 cup no-salt-added tomato sauce 1 tablespoon taco seasonings 6 taco shells 1/4 cup (2 ounces) shredded reduced-fat Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup shredded lettuce 1/3 cup chopped tomato 1/4 cup chopped onion Hot pepper sauce (optional)

PREPARATION:

  1. Heat small skillet over medium heat until hot. Add beef, onion and garlic; cook and stir 5 minutes until beef is browned, breaking up meat with spoon. Add tomato sauce and seasonings; cook 5 minutes.
  2. Warm taco shells in oven following package directions.
  3. Fill taco shells with meat mixture, cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion. Serve with pepper sauce, if desired.
