INGREDIENTS

teaspoon olive oil

ounces chopped low-fat turkey ham

cloves garlic, minced

cup arborio or white short-grain rice
1
can (15 ounces) Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
1/4
cup chopped green onions with tops
1/2
teaspoon dried sage leaves
2
cans (14 ounces each) reduced-sodium chicken broth, heated
1‑1/2
cups Swiss chard, rinsed, stemmed and shredded
1/4
cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
PREPARATION:
- Heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add turkey-ham and garlic; cook and stir until garlic is browned. Add rice, beans, green onions and sage; mix well. Add warm broth; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cook about 25 minutes or until rice is creamy, stirring frequently.
- Add Swiss chard and Parmesan; mix well. Cover; remove from heat. Let stand, covered, 2 minutes or until Swiss chard is wilted. Serve immediately.
