INGREDIENTS
1 beef top sirloin steak (about 1 pound) 1/3 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons white vinegar 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper 1/3 cup honeyPREPARATION:
- Slice beef across the grain into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Thread beef strips onto 12 wooden skewers and place in large glass baking dish. (Soak skewers in cold water 20 minutes before using to prevent them from burning.)
- Heat broiler or prepare grill for direct cooking. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and red pepper; pour over skewers and marinate 10 minutes, turning once.
- Drain marinade into small saucepan; stir in honey and brush mixture over beef. Bring remaining mixture to a boil; boil 2 minutes.
- Broil or grill skewered beef 3 to 4 minutes. Serve remaining honey glaze as dipping sauce.
