Spicy Honey Glazed Beef Skewers: Easy & Delicious Recipe

 
Skewered Beef Strips with Spicy Honey Glaze

Prep and Cook Time 30 minutes

YIELD Makes 4 servings

INGREDIENTS

1 beef top sirloin steak (about 1 pound) 1/3 cup soy sauce 2 tablespoons white vinegar 1 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper 1/3 cup honey

PREPARATION:

  1. Slice beef across the grain into 1/4-inch-thick strips. Thread beef strips onto 12 wooden skewers and place in large glass baking dish. (Soak skewers in cold water 20 minutes before using to prevent them from burning.)
  2. Heat broiler or prepare grill for direct cooking. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, ginger and red pepper; pour over skewers and marinate 10 minutes, turning once.
  3. Drain marinade into small saucepan; stir in honey and brush mixture over beef. Bring remaining mixture to a boil; boil 2 minutes.
  4. Broil or grill skewered beef 3 to 4 minutes. Serve remaining honey glaze as dipping sauce.
