INGREDIENTS
1 cup coarse ground cornmeal 1 cup porter or dark ale 1/4 cup maple syrup 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon baking powder 2 eggs 1/4 cup melted butterPREPARATION:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine cornmeal, porter and maple syrup in small bowl; set aside.
- Sift flour, salt and baking powder into large bowl. Add cornmeal mixture, eggs and melted butter. Stir until well blended.
- Pour batter into greased 9-inch square baking pan. Bake until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean, about 20 to 25 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Slice and serve.
