Geography of Anderson-South Carolina

Anderson, South Carolina, the seat of Anderson County. It is about 95 miles (153 km) northwest of Columbia. Anderson's products include clothing, textiles, and fiberglass. The city also serves as a trade center for the surrounding agricultural area, in which cotton, pimentos, and cattle are produced. Nearby Hartwell Reservoir is a tourist attraction. Anderson was first settled in 1826.
